Meet The Doctor
Dr. Nicole Knight is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician who has been practicing in Charlotte for over 10 years. As a direct primary care provider, her emphasis is on providing high quality, compassionate, individualized care. Additionally, she offers functional medicine & weight management for patients.
Dr. Knight earned her degree from Temple University School of Medicine and is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Atrium Health where she served as chief resident.
She holds an undergraduate degree from Stanford University in Electrical Engineering.

Patient-Focused Care
Dr. Knight is dedicated to providing personalized healthcare with direct physician access for patients 18 years of age and older. Her focus is on helping to improve your health and quality of life by developing a strong doctor-patient relationship so she can gain a deeper understanding of your particular health and wellness concerns. Dr. Knight is passionate about treating the whole patient. She takes time to listen to patients which allows her to customize the plan of care and education. Listening, empathy and compassion are key components of her care while making sure to follow up-to-date and evidence-based medicine.
Direct Primary Care
Knight Internal Medicine does not collect reimbursement from insurance. Patient care decisions are made at the patient-provider level without interference from insurance. Dr. Knight offers direct provider access and focuses more time on patient care and wellness rather than managing the complexity that comes with large traditional practices.
Comprehensive Care
Internal Medicine: Dr. Knight specializes in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of adult diseases including complex medical conditions.
Functional Medicine: A holistic approach to healthcare that focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of illness with a special focus on environmental and lifestyle factors that contribute to your health.
Weight Management: Personalized plans to help achieve and maintain a healthy weight. This approach will focus on dietary guidance, physical activity recommendations, behavioral counseling, and in some cases, medical interventions.
Direct Primary Care Membership Plan
For a low monthly cost, Knight Internal Medicine provides high quality, personalized internal medicine services to help you manage your health and well-being.
First month initial fee:
- $200 - per patient
After that, the recurring monthly bill:
- $150 - per patient
No contracts. Our members are automatically billed on a monthly basis. Quarterly/Bi-Annual/Annual billing is also available.
You may cancel with us anytime after your initial 6 months. Just let us know a month in advance so we can arrange it in our system.
If you ever decide to re-enroll we will gladly welcome you back. There is a $300 rejoining fee.
There are no copays for visits or communication (text, emails, etc).
You can purchase a membership for a friend, college student, church or family member.

- Access to YOUR physician in person, by phone, or video during regular office hours
- Significant savings on most labs and many prescriptions
- Please Note: Knight Internal Medicine will NOT be providing comprehensive OB care or deliveries, infant/childhood immunizations, or prescriptions of chronic controlled substances.
- Some services, like administration of IV fluids and phlebotomy may be an additional cost; we are happy to provide you with pricing in advance.
Meet The Nurse
Sarah Ma MSN, RN graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1996, completed her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she went on to earn a Certificate in Nursing Education.
Sarah has had a very rewarding career as clinical faculty, educating future generations of nurses in the ever-changing field of healthcare. Sarah has experience in surgical intensive care, pediatrics, and community health nursing. She enjoys working directly with patients to help educate and motivate them to manage and maintain optimal health and well-being.
